Board Certified in Clinical Psychology
Dr. Nevins obtained a masters degree in Counseling Psychology at Loyola University, Maryland and his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. His predoctoral internship was completed at the University of Southern California, Department of Student Health Services. Dr. Nevins is Board Certified in Clinical Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. He is listed in the National Register of Health Care Service Providers in Psychology.
Over the course of Dr. Nevins’ professional career, he has practiced at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Howard Young Hospital -Ministry Health Care, Ashland Memorial Medical Center, and the St. Croix Regional Medical Center, Wisconsin. In 2006, he co-founded Midwest Psychological Services in Hudson, Wisconsin where he served as President and Clinical Director until 2017. He continued in his role as Clinical Director until May 2020. He was a core and adjunct faculty member at the Minnesota School of Psychology-Argosy University.
Dr. Nevins’ areas of clinical expertise include: personality disorders and problematic personality traits, anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, physical, emotional and sexual trauma recovery, dissociative disorders, family and marital counseling, and psychological testing.
Dr. Nevins’ contributions to the field of psychology include the 2020 Routledge publication, “Applying Personality Informed Treatment Strategies to Clinical Practice: A Theoretical and Practical Guide.” He provides training and consultation on Personality-Informed approaches for mental health treatment and business management solutions.
